What is the LMI process?
LMI (Leadership Management Inc.), is a fully proven process that believes in development, not just training. The LMI process reduces if not closes the gap between potential and performance. It is designed to increase your productivity, performance, and quality while reducing cost. It reduces cost because you are getting more done in less time. You work with a facilitator for eight weeks to ensure success in the following areas:
- Setting Goals with an Action Plan
- Time Management
- Increasing Productivity
- Recognizing your High Payoff Activities
- Increasing Communication
- Understanding the Dynamics of a Team
- Establishing Effective Habits in All Areas of Leadership Development
HISTORY
Paul J. Meyer, author of Effective Personal Productivity, became interested at an early age in the principles of individual development, personal productivity, and success. By using these principles in his chosen career of professional sales, Meyer became a millionaire by the age of 27.
In 1960, Paul Meyer founded a company dedicated to "motivating people to their full potential." This company brought into reality a long-standing dream Meyer had of providing practical, effective materials to help people achieve their goals, increase their personal productivity, and enjoy greater success, both personally and professionally. Through the vision of Paul J. Meyer LMI was born. Today, the LMI process is in more than 60 countries and in 23 languages.
Pete Morrell, longtime practitioner of the LMI process, owner of an LMI franchise for 22 years, and a staunch believer in the EPP Program trained Jojo Myers, so she too may be a believer. It is thanks to Morrell and Associates in Greeley, Colorado that LMI is taught through Matrix Leadership in the state of Nevada. Jojo Myers, an associate of Pete Morrell with Morrell and Associates then trained Danny Campos, making both owners of Matrix Leadership graduates of the LMI process.
HOW THE LMI PROGRAM WORKS
The Effective Personal Productivity Program is both written and recorded for three very important reasons:
- Convenience
The actual study time involved in the LMI process is minimal. It is also recorded on CD's so you may listen as you commute to and from work, over coffee in the mornings, while at your computer or anytime you feel convenient. Reading the material once and listening several times to the CD's saves you time. - Spaced Repetition
This effective learning technique gives you a head start in establishing effective learning habits. In this program it is recommended that you listen to the material on CD six times before proceeding to the next lesson. It is also recommended that you read the material at least once while listening to the CD. In reality, you are actually using both sides of the brain, therefore, retaining more. As you read and listen, underline or highlight the material you feel is pertinent and has a special meaning to you. Always include in your notes your own ideas for discussion in class. - Multisensory Perception/Learning
Each of the 5 senses performs a specialized function in providing knowledge and understanding. The majority of our knowledge and learning comes from the 2 senses, seeing and hearing. Effective Personal Productivity combines the visual sense through our printed materials and the hearing sense through our recorded materials. The 3rd sense most commonly used in this program is the sense of touch, through the writing of the materials, assignments, and the action steps at the end of each chapter. When you use a multi sensory process you increase the amount of knowledge you retain and have available for use at any time.
